Larbaâ – Blida, 14 November 2016 – Mediterranean Float Glass (MFG) spa
, a subsidiary of the CEVITAL group, created in 2007 and specialized in the production and transformation of flat glass, officially inaugurates today, on its industrial complex of Larbaâ (Blida), the second production line of float glass.
The illustration of an Algerian industry of excellence, exporting, competitive and innovative
This 2nd production line required an investment of 120 million euros out of a total budget of 300 million euros invested in other factories: first line/laminated glass line/transformation factory/layered glass factory. It will enable MFG to produce an additional 800 Tons/day, bringing the total output to 1400 Tons/Day. That is a production growth forecast of + 133% and a turnover growth forecast of + 60%, compared to the current year. Its projected turnover by the end of 2016 is estimated at 45 million euros, between float and transformation.
An ambitious project focused on exports
Thanks to the advanced “float” technology, MFG becomes the first producer of premium quality flat glass in Africa, a major Algerian player in the global market. The volumes dedicated to the export will represent 60% of the sales in 2017, about 48 million euros. MFG meets the growing demand for premium glass in the global market, while meeting the needs of its local market, its priority.
