MEDICLEAN

MEDICLEAN® is a reflective glass with soft layers of specific metal oxides; the deposits are made at room temperature, after the manufacture of the glass. The tempering is necessary for the layer to become photocatalytic and hydrophilic, thus the glass acquires other performance in addition to reflection and becomes a self-cleaning glass.

With this type of glazing, we get an amazing result, a glazing clean for longer time and easier maintenance.

Photocatalysis: The organic matters that rest on the glass over the course of days is broken down by sunlight.

Hydrophilicity: Thanks to the hydrophilic properties of the glass, the rain or cleaning water that comes in contact with the glass flows easily, the decomposed dirt slides downwards and disappears without a trace. As a result, we go beyond impurities without much cleaning work.

Photocatalysis works only with daylight, so it works only on windows exposed to sunlight.

-The MEDICLEAN self-cleaning glass does not avoid stubborn dirt, for this type of dirt it is necessary to use cleaning products (window lifters) or hot water with a clean squeegee.

-In the prolonged absence of rain, water must be sprayed on this type of glass in order to rid it of impurities.

-Finally, this solution does not completely eliminate the household cleaning, it allows to space cleanings

Transformation (manufacture of double glazing using soft layer glasses)
The manufacturing process of glazing incorporating a soft layer (double glazing) is not quite similar to that of ordinary glazing, it is subject to precautions in terms of handling, transport, storage, cutting and washing. Especially, contact between the layer and hard or sharp objects must be avoided and the layer must be kept on the upper side when handling tables and conveyors because, there is always dust and micro-debris that arise on the cutting and shaping tables.

Thus, prior to assembly, peripheral edge trimming is required to remove the layer where the seal will be applied.

In summary, you pay attention to:
1. Use demineralized water for washing,
2. Keep the layer face up during the machining of the coated glass (cutting and shaping),
3. Never put the layer in direct contact with the seal (silicone), it is necessary to make the edge trimming,
4. Make sure the layer is inside the double glazing (face 2 or 3)

The layer must be in position 1 only
